The Southern California Beagle Club is involved in a number of activities throughout the year.  Our main events are the two AKC Specialty Shows and Obedience Trials that we hold each year.  In addition we also have an AKC licensed field trial, fun days and participate in other activities throughout the year.

The SCBC holds two AKC Specialty shows each year in conjunction with local all breed shows.  These shows provide an opportunity to see a number of beagles all in the same location on the same day.  At conformation events the dogs are each judged against the AKC standard for the breed.

Conformation Events

Our annual field trial weekend gives beaglers an opportunity to let their hounds perform as they were originally bred to do.  It is a fun filled opportunity to watch, and listen to the beagles as they follow the trail of a recent rabbit.

Field Trials

These club events are held twice a year at varying times and give beagles and their companions an opportunity for a day of fun and games.  Along with a fun match for puppies and dogs needing more experience there are other fun and games for dogs and people of all levels.

Beagle Bashes & Fun Days

Pet Expo is an annual event held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA.  It gives the public a unique opportunity to meet various animals and ask questions about the various breeds that are represented while having a chance to see a number of exciting and unique demonstrations.

The SCBC also offers obedience classes at our annual specialty shows.  These classes give dedicated handlers an opportunity to showcase their beagles trainability.  There are a number of different classes available based on the ability and experience level of both dog and handler.
